What is E-Way Bill?

Under the GST regime, transporters are supposed to carry an e-way bill while carrying goods from one place to another when specific conditions are satisfied. Almost all the states require E-Way bills for the Intra-state movement of goods. E-way bill is now required for Inter-state movement of goods as well. The goods should be of value more than INR 50,000.
